Poop Scooping

Filed under: Gardening — Susan @ 5:51 pm

The sun was shining nicely today.  All the snow (and there was a heck of a lot of it too) is just about gone.  Our yard (it is a big one) has been like a mine field of doggie doo.  You could not walk without watching every step.  Yes, I was cleaning up through out the winter but it snowed a lot so a lot of the poop got hidden.  I asked Bob to please pick-up a good rake on his way home from work.  He bought a real beaut - a nice cushioned handle and a big plastic fan rake (Yard Works Lawn Rake).  It made the raking of the aged doggie poop and left over Willow leaves and other natural debrie a lot easier.  So two hours and 45 minutes later, six large wheel barrel fulls and two good size blisters later the back part of our yard looks lovely!  Now I only have the two sides of the yard and the front . . . and believe me the doggies are not particular about where they leave their signature.  If my hands can handle it - remember, I have some nasty blisters right now - then I will try to get it done.  I will keep you posted maybe even post a photo!
