I planted a few more pea seeds where some didn't come up but for the most part, it looks like a strong crop of peas this year.
I had one Asapargus spear come up - about four inches even. I am so proud of this little spear - I stepped on it as I was planting more pea seeds - jerk! I rinsed it off and ate it - OMG - can you say fabulicious!

We had a good rain fall today ~ yay!! I was excited to see if anything in this category has sprouted once it stopped pouring rain and I could take a stroll to the garden. Looks like half of the pea seeds are making their debut along with the spinach and lettuce. Asparagus is still being shy but I think that last year I gave up on them and then all of a sudden I had shoots everywhere and I do mean everywhere because I tilled the garden and obviously spread them around and they still took. I gathered the asparagus roots last fall and put then in a specific spot and yes I will be a little more patience this spring. Once they are done, I will put some sort of a cutting flower there for the shear visual pleasure ~ some tall Zinnias or Snapdrogons or Cosmos ~ nice bouquet flowers.

One of the pea seeds has sprouted but I pushed the seed back down as I could see the whole seed.
Some of the lettuce and spinach is just peeking up slightly.
2010 garden veggies are on the way
